Job Description

Are you interested in making a meaningful impact every day by empowering parents with the tools they need to help their families thrive?

We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable professional to deliver parenting education sessions to parents and caregivers. The ideal candidate will be skilled in teaching practical parenting strategies, supporting families with diverse needs, and creating a safe, respectful learning environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma: At least 5 years’ experience in social services 

  • Bachelors level: Bachelors Degree in social services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, etc.)   

  • At least 2 years’ experience in social services

Core Competencies

  • Effectively demonstrate the understanding and practice of FRC program. 

  • Communicate respectfully and effectively and establish professional relationships. 

  • Promotes recovery, independence, and personal choice for participants.  

  • Assists participants in identifying strengths, needs, and realistic goals to develop a service plan. 

  • Accurately identifies risk and responds appropriately.  

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of behavioral health symptoms, interventions, and impact. 

  • Maintains professional boundaries and operates within agency /ethical guidelines.  

  • Knowledge of agency and community resources and referral processes.

Job Duties/Skills Required

  • Complete mandatory training series for MCC program. 

  • Participate in weekly supervision and consultation for MCC program. 

  • Schedule and maintain a flexible workweek to meet the needs of MCC families, scheduled program meetings and documentation responsibilities.  

  • Maintain flexible availability to receive referrals. Ensure family intake sessions occur within 1 week of referral.  

  • Provide consistent, quality case management and skills based services while maintaining fidelity to MCC program.  

  • Promote the agency/program within the community.  

 REQUIREMENTS  

  • Commitment to the MCC program.  

  • Ability to work with diverse individuals/families/populations. 

  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain client and employee confidentiality.  

  • Requires working nontraditional, flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.  

  • Work is performed in family homes, the community and an office environment.  

  • Requires travel and transporting families to scheduled appointments throughout the community. 

  • Involves exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, and other conditions common to home environments. 

  • Maintain a caseload of 10-20 MCC families at any given time.  

  • Data entry into an electronic health record.
