Job Description

Start is looking for an Outreach Coordinator for our Connecting Kids to Coverage program, this person will be responsible for conducting outreach to individuals, families and community partners to promote awareness of health coverage options.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, or a related field preferred

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Must be a current Certified Application Center Trusted User or able to apply

  • Knowledge of agency and community resources and referral processes.

Job Duties/Skills Required

  • Conduct outreach to individuals, families, and community groups to promote awareness of health coverage options.

  • Provide one-on-one assistance with applications, renewals, and troubleshooting for Medicaid and other programs.

  • Serve as a Certified Application Center Trusted User(or apply as required).

  • Maintain knowledge of eligibility requirements, program changes, and available resources.

  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, service providers, and stakeholders.

  • Collect and report outreach and enrollment data accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Educate participants on their rights, responsibilities, and options for accessing health care.

  • Participate in training, meetings, and continuing education to stay current on policy and program updates.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader/Program Director.
