We are looking to hire a part-time Housing Advocate to work weekends only. Apply today!

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Mental health experience preferred

  • Availability to work Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Job Duties/Skills Required

  • Complete daily checks of the premises and each resident’s room to ensure safety and security, to address any potential safety hazards such as debris, clutter, trip hazards, electrical/ fire hazards, and sanitary concerns.

  • Welcome and orient new residents; assist with check-in and check-out processes for shelters or housing programs.

  • Assist residents with skills training activities (making bed, laundry, cleaning, etc.).

  • Accompany residents to other areas of the facility ensuring the security of facility belongings.

  • Perform hourly bed checks during all shifts.

  • Follow and complete chore lists to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment.

  • Document the residents’ progress and maintain clinical record in accordance with all licensing and accreditation requirements and the residents’ individual housing and service plans.

  • Address and resolve resident complaints, reporting outcomes to the supervisor.

  • Complete and submit required reports, including vehicle logs, maintenance logs, time sheets, and inventories.

  • Stay informed on behavioral health symptoms, treatment options, and coping strategies.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of each resident’s medical, social, and behavioral needs, services received, medications, and provider contacts.

  • Engage and assess clients’ barriers to housing and educate/ assist with available resources.

  • Coordinate with community resources and services that are on clients housing/service plans.
