Residential Assistant (Part-time)
Job Description
Residential Assistants may rotate between any of (3) 24-hour transitional housing programs serving Veterans, families, and individuals living with severe behavioral health diagnoses. All residents enrolled in these programs are homeless. A common goal amongst each program is to allow participants the time needed to move towards a better future for themselves and/or their families without the added worry of "where will I sleep tonight?"
Shifts Needed:
Monday-Friday 12am-8am
Monday-Friday 4pm-12am
Saturday-Sunday 12am-12pm
Saturday-Sunday 12pm-12am
Holidays (8 or 12-hour coverage)
Weekly Hours:
Average 24-28 hours/week
Minimum Requirements
Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Work history in behavioral health preferred, not required.
Must possess strong conflict-resolution skills and be able to adjust in an ever-changing environment.
Applicant(s) must be professional and firm on boundaries set between staff and residents.

Maintains professional boundaries and operates within agency /ethical guidelines.
Job Duties/Skills Required
Oversee preparation of meals for residents in compliance with set menu.
Completes bed checks during nighttime shift; Follow chore lists to ensure that the facility is safe, clean, and orderly.
Handle resident complaints while on shift and report resolutions to supervisor.
