Housing Inspector (BR HUD)
Job Description
The Housing Inspector will work to ensure that housing units occupied by clients in Start Corporation's HUD-funded housing programs meet habitability standards and requirements. The Inspector will conduct inspections, communicate concerns with property owners/managers, and maintain follow up as needed. Apply today!
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of relevant experience OR Bachelor degree
Be over 18 years of age
Possess a valid driver's license
Personal experience of being homeless preferred

Job Duties/Skills Required
Plans, organizes, and completes inspections for various HUD programs.
Coordinates/schedules appointments and reminder notifications with clients, staff, and landlords.
Ensures all documentation meets HUD record keeping requirements.
Maintains up to date and accurate data in all required data systems.
Organize and maintain client files and records ensuring security of files.
Participates in team meetings to obtain all necessary documentation.
Supports and encourages landlord recruitment and retention to provide fair and affordable housing opportunities to clients.
