Start Corporation will be expanding its office in New Orleans with the addition of 5 new Housing Support Teams in the next 3 months. A number of new positions are available. Available Positions: Team Leaders (5 available positions) Description: The available Team Leader positions will provide supervision, clinical direction, and direct services for a team of 6 or 7 workers working with a cross-disability population of approximately 75 clients in the Permanent Supportive Housing Program. These positions are full-time positions which include salary and full company benefits. Team Leaders will be housed in our Orleans Parish Office. Requirements:Certification as Registered Nurse; Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Addiction Counselor recognized in La; or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is preferred. Master’s degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Counseling, or other related behavioral health or counseling program plus one year of experience required. Community Support Specialist (20 positions available) Description: The available Community Support Specialist positions will provide direct services within a team working with a cross-disability population in the Permanent Supportive Housing Program. These positions are full-time positions which include salary and full company benefits. Community Support Specialists will be housed in our Orleans Parish Office. Requirements:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in a human-service related field such as social work, human services, rehabilitation counseling or counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation, psychology, criminal justice plus one year of paid work experience providing community based direct care services. For people with a Bachelor’s level degree in a field other than helping profession listed above, a minimum of 2 years working in a community based direct care health setting under the supervision of a licensed professional. Peer Support Specialists (5 positions available) Description: The available Peer Support Specialist positions will provide direct services within a team working with a cross-disability population in the Permanent Supportive Housing Program. These positions are full-time positions which include salary and full company benefits. Peer Support Specialists will be housed in our Orleans Parish Office. Requirements:High school diploma/equivalent and minimum of 2 years working in a community based behavioral health, in home health or other healthcare setting or developmental services setting. Must self-disclose as having a disability to qualify.
